Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F degrees. 
- Butter a 9x13 metal baking pan and line with parchment paper. - Make sure to butter the parchment paper as well. This will enable you to lift the blondies out out the pan after baking. 
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the butter (1 cup), brown sugar (2 cups), salt (¼ tsp), eggs (2), and vanilla (1 tsp). 
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour (2 cups), baking powder (1 tsp), and baking soda (¼ tsp). 
- Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and stir until just combined. 
- Spread into the prepared pan. Sprinkle pecans over top if using. - If using nuts, you may sub your favorite nuts for the pecans. 
- Bake at 350°F degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. 
- Allow to cool about 3 to 5 minutes. 
- Use the parchment paper to lift the blondies out of the pan, place on a cooling rack. 
- Cut into pieces and serve. - The edges are the best!
